This is a very surprising event to see that football coach Mike Leach has been fired by Texas Tech. Coach Leach plans to fight the dismissal.
He has been accused of mistreating a player with a concussion. Coach Leach is accused of putting Adam James into isolatation two separate times during Red Raiders’ football team practice.
This is a huge shock to most sports fans as Texas Tech had just given Coach Leach a 5year, $12.7 million contract.
Texas Tech has a spot in the Alamo Bowl on January 2, 2010 against Michigan State
Coach Leach's attorney Ted Liggett has stated that “the fight has just begun”. Liggett believes he has evidence that Leach was not in the wrong.
Coach Leach has lead the Red Raiders to an 84-53 record and 5 bowl wins. Under Coach Leach Texas Tech has had 10 straight winning seasons and 9 consecutive bowl appearances.
